Reality Personality Yandy Smith is one of the most sought after entertainment powerhouses in the industry today. Equipped with over a decade of industry experience, the media mogul, entrepreneur and television personality is not only well-respected and beloved amongst peers, but serves as an inspiration and living proof of attainable success for many.
Working alongside the likes of LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and Mona Scott-Young at multimedia conglomerate Violator Management, Smith spearheaded several management projects in music, TV and film. In 2008, Smith received global industry recognition as one of Billboard Magazine’s Top 30 Executives under 30.
Currently Smith is the star of VH1’s number one rated show, Love & Hip Hop New York. Prior to joining the cast in the shows second season; Smith was a part of the creative team that brought the show to the masses and worked as a producer throughout the shows first season on air.
The entertainment manager has now become an influential personality, with a digital reach of 8M+ fans via social media platforms. Smith continues to work in music management and has added several titles to her resume which includes;
Entrepreneur – Smith is part owner and also serves as CMO of Everything Girls Love (EGL), a lifestyle brand providing a community for women to locate informative content on a variety of topics. She is also set to conquer the beauty industry as she prepares to launch YELLE Beauty just in time for the 2016 holiday season.
Philanthropist– She was influential in getting young voters to sign up for and support the Obama Care campaign. She is also founder of the EGL P.U.D. (Partner Uplifting our Daughters) mentoring program which targets girls entering middle school and is designed to promote the development of literacy and emotional wellness.
Motivational Speaker– through her lifestyle brand Everything Girls Love (EGL), Smith has become a champion for woman’s empowerment and a sought after speaker to encourage and uplift women especially as it relates to balancing career and family successfully.
Movie/Television Producer – Smith’s initial entrance into the movie industry was with independent feature film, Life, Love, Soul. Smith was instrumental in securing the 2013 film’s limited theatrical and worldwide home video releases. Since then, Yandy has been tapped as Producer for several visual projects which include another partnership with Noel Calloway Films for the 2014 release of “Two Days in Harlem.” In 2014 Yandy took her talents to Broadway as she co-produced the Off-Broadway musical debut “For Vixens Who’ve Considered Homicide When the Video Was Too Much”. Most recently Smith served as Executive Producer of VH1’s 1st live wedding special Love and hip Hop Live: The Wedding. In 2016, Smith plans to work on bringing a few reality and scripted programs to the small screen under the development deal she recently secured with VH1.
Author – In 2016 Smith released her 1st literary work, an E-guide titled The Beauty of Marketing in Business. Later this year she will be releasing a series of children books titled Blended Families which will aim to help families explain situations that arise when siblings don’t all have the same mom or dad. Smith has also teamed up with Kandi Buress to work on a book for working moms. The project titled Babies, Breastfeeding and Boardrooms will tackle the trials and triumphs of being a mompreneur.
In addition to her many professional endeavors, Smith is a newlywed, and doting mother of two.
